
Fall River Police Investigating Incident of Stabbing and Shooting
FALL RIVER (WBSM) — Fall River Police are investigating an early-morning stabbing and shooting that occurred in the city earlier today.
According to police, officers responded at about 4:37 a.m. today to a residence in the 400-block of Dickinson Street for a report of both a stabbing and a shooting.
Officers arrived and found a 55-year-old man who had sustained multiple stab wounds to the head and neck.
There was also a 42-year-old woman inside the home who had sustained a single gunshot wound to the head.
Police said both people were transported to local trauma centers for immediate medical attention. The man is listed in stable condition, while the woman remains in critical condition.
No further information was released. The incident remains under investigation.
