Fall River Police Arrest Two in Connection With Stabbing
FALL RIVER (WBSM) — Fall River Police arrested two men in connection with a stabbing in the city Friday night.
According to a police Facebook post, officers responded at about 8:45 p.m. on March 7 to the Cottell Heights Housing Development for reports of a male victim suffering from a stab wound to the chest.
Officers and EMS personnel responded to the scene, and the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police said he remains in stable but critical condition.

Police said a trail of blood evidence led officers to 75 Raymond Street, where the stabbing was determined to have taken place. Through interviews with the building’s residents, it was determined that the stabbing was the result of a brief altercation.
That led police to arrest Barry Cabral, 48, on a charge of assault and battery with serious bodily injury. Police said he is being held on $50,000 bail.
Also arrested was Erik Getchell, 31, on a charge of accessory after the fact, as well as multiple outstanding warrants.
