“Acting quickly, an officer took hold of the item which turned out to be a loaded revolver,” police said in a release. “Once that firearm was seized, officers could (then) see a bag behind Simmons which was also removed from his possession.”

According to police, two loaded semi-automatic pistols were found inside the bag. They said Simmons was ineligible to possess a firearms license, and one of the guns had a defaced serial number and contained a high-capacity magazine.
