FALL RIVER (WBSM) — Fall River Police arrested a man for allegedly exposing himself inside the play area of a McDonald’s on Monday.

According to a police Facebook post, Robert DeMello “was reported to have exposed himself in the play area” of the President Ave McDonald’s on February 10, “alarming customers and dropping an unknown quantity of pills.”

Police said DeMello fled the scene but was quickly apprehended.

“Initially providing a false identity, hospital records later confirmed his true name, revealing two active warrants,” police wrote.

Police said a subsequent search of his belongings “uncovered several illegal substances.”

DeMello is charged with open and gross lewdness, drug possession, assault by means of a dangerous weapon and he was also arrested on outstanding warrants.

DeMello was also arrested on August 31, 2024 after he was found by Westport Police driving a skid steer that had allegedly been stolen. According to police at the time, he had also stolen other items and sold them for scrap.
