Fall River Police arrest two individuals and recover a loaded handgun following a shooting incident last Thursday.

Officers and Detectives responded to reports Thursday afternoon of individuals in two vehicles exchanging gun fire.  It happened around 2 pm near the intersection of Quequechan and Pleasant Streets.

There were no reported injuries, but police made two arrests.  Twenty-year old Jazer Hernandez-Vergara (above) was charged with intimidation/misleading a witness.  Also arrested was a 17-year old male juvenile who was charged with several firearms offenses.

Captain Barden Castro also says Detectives recovered a loaded 9mm Taurus handgun after the shooting.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and they have several active leads, but they are also asking for the public's help.
