Fall River Man Sentenced for Raping Toddler Relative

A Fall River man will serve up to 15 years in state prison for raping a 5-year-old boy.

The Bristol County District Attorney's Office says 46-year-old Dennis Dilibero was convicted of aggravated statutory rape and sentenced Wednesday in Fall River Superior Court.

The charge stemmed from a report from the child's mother in August of 2014. The mother told authorities that her son had confided in her that Dilibero, a relative of the toddler, had placed his penis in the young boy's mouth while he was at the man's home. The report led to an investigation into the incident, which ultimately led to the indictment and arrest of Dilibero.

Dilibero was sentenced to serve 10 to 15 years in prison.

The trial lasted a total of six days.
