Fall River Man Arrested on Drug Possession, Firearm Charges
FALL RIVER — A Fall River man has been arrested for allegedly possessing a variety of suspected drugs, including mushrooms and marijuana, as well as two guns without a license.
Fall River police said 25-year-old Breon Stroup was arrested after Vice and Gang Unit detectives searched a home in the 900 block of Plymouth Avenue at around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
According to police, the detectives found and seized a quantity of suspected marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms as well as suboxone film and a white powdery substance.
Police said they also seized a loaded Taurus semi-automatic pistol and a Ruger revolver in the search.
The detectives also allegedly seized an undisclosed amount of cash in U.S. dollars, packaging materials and digital scales.
Stroup is charged with multiple offenses, including possessing with intent to distribute a class D, class B, and class C substance, possessing a large capacity firearm during a felony, and possessing a firearm without an FID card, among others.
