
Fall River Police Arrest Man They Say Had a ‘Ghost Gun’
FALL RIVER (WBSM) —- Fall River Police have arrested a man they say was in possession of a “ghost gun.”
According to police, members of the Patrol Bureau responded to the area of Peckham Street and Barrett Street on November 9 for reports of a man in possession of a firearm. Officers later received updated information including the suspect’s description and the direction in which he last traveled.
The officers arrived on the scene and located the suspect – Jamauri Bates, 24 – walking the area of Tuttle Street and Benjamin Street. Police said that as an officer approached him, Bates fled on foot.

Following a short pursuit, Bates was taken into custody. Police said he was found to be in possession of a Polymer 80 “ghost gun,” described as an “unsterilized and untraceable firearm.”
Bates faces numerous firearms-related offenses and other charges, police said.
