FALL RIVER — Authorities are investigating a double homicide that occurred this afternoon in Fall River that claimed the lives of a Fall River man and a teenage boy, while another man was also shot.

According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, Fall River Police received 911 calls around 4:22 p.m. reporting shots fired in the vicinity of Griffin Park. First responders arrived to find two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

The two victims – a 29-year-old Fall River man and a 14-year-old boy – were rushed to Saint Anne’s Hospital and Charlton Memorial Hospital, respectively. Both were later declared dead by emergency room physicians.

A third shooting victim, a 19-year-old man from Fall River, was transported to Saint Anne’s Hospital in a private vehicle and was later transported to Rhode Island Hospital for further treatment.

The D.A.’s Office says the investigation is extremely active and no further information can be shared at this time.
