Fall River Bank Robbery Suspect Caught at Dartmouth Motel

FALL RIVER — Fall River police have arrested a city man suspected of robbing two different banks in the city earlier this week.

Police said on Tuesday, a robbery took place at one of the city's St. Anne's Credit Union branches — then on Wednesday, another robbery occurred at the Rockland Trust bank on Brayton Avenue.

Major crimes detectives investigating the robberies discovered Thursday that the suspect in both crimes was likely the same person, and that he was possibly staying at the Capri Motel in Dartmouth.

Detectives and Dartmouth police searched the State Road motel, eventually finding and arresting 29-year-old Kalvin Boule after a short investigation.

According to police, evidence linking Boule to the bank robberies was discovered in his motel room after a search by Fall River Police Det. Cheyenne Fortin with help from Dartmouth police.

Police did not disclose what the evidence is, or how much cash was taken in the robberies.

However, police did state that Boule was found to also have an unspecified amount of heroin and crack cocaine.

Boule is being charged with two counts of unarmed robbery as well as possession of both a Class A and a Class B drug.
