Fairhaven ‘Jesus’ is Back!

That's right! The man masquerading as Jesus Christ is back in Fairhaven.

His name is Malvin "Mel" Larsen, and he has a tremendous story to share. This is the second summer Mel has appeared in the Greater New Bedford area dressed in a white robe and wearing a crown of thorns. Mel is originally from Fairhaven, but spends his winters in Fort Myers, Florida.

I've spoken with him several times before, and as long as you're receptive and not combative to his message, he's really a nice guy.

And yes, if you Google his real name, you may find some arrest records and police reports. But please, do your research before casting the first stone. Those charges were dropped.
