The Fairhaven Farmers Market will be holding a special event on Sunday, August 7, from 1 to 4pm to celebrate National Farmers Market Week from August 7 to August 13.  The market will have games and giveaways for everyone, as well as a bounce house on the lawn of Fairhaven High School.

According to South Coast Today.com, the Fairhaven Farmers Market began nine years ago and currently has multiple vendors that sell a wide variety of products, including fruits, veggies, flowers, cheese, honey, eggs, bread, bakery items, meat and pies. Organizers are also glad to have vendors who sell cookbooks, dog treats, local crafts, and offer face painting.  The market makes it possible to support local farmers, which in turn helps to protect farmland from development.
