Fairhaven Boat Fire Sends One to the Hospital Suffering From Burns
FAIRHAVEN (WBSM) — Firefighters responded to a boat fire that occurred in Fairhaven Sunday evening and sent one person to the hospital.
The incident happened on June 2 at around 7 p.m., when a fire broke out around the Seaview Avenue boat ramp and Sconticut Neck Road.
According to the Fairhaven Fire Department, the fire allegedly started within the 21-foot boat after the battery was connected, causing a spark and igniting a vapor from the fuel tank.

One male adult sustained moderate burns to his arms and was transported to the Level 2 trauma center at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford.
His name has not been released. There is no further update on his condition at this time.
Wareham Brush Fire 4-20-2023
On April 20, 2023, the Wareham Fire Department responded to a brush fire in the area of Agawam Road and was able to hold the fire to just over two acres before fully extinguishing it.
