ESPN signed an agreement on Tuesday which will allow it to broadcast people playing with a Frisbee to more than 83 million households nationwide.

The self-proclaimed "Worldwide Leader In Sports" inked a multi-year agreement with USA Ultimate, the governing body for ultimate Frisbee in the United States. ESPN will broadcast Ultimate’s major events: the College Championships and the Triple Crown Tour, including the U.S. Open and the National Championships.

In the key part of the deal, ESPN will produce and distribute Ultimate competitions on ESPN3 which is accessible online at WatchESPN.com and on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app. So, if you are following along, you'll be able to watch people playing with a Frisbee while you are playing with a Frisbee. Whoa! Totally meta, dude.

"The strategy we’ve discussed with ESPN will serve both the traditional television viewer as well as our young and tech-savvy membership base with multiple convenient and accessible viewing options," USA Ultimate Chief Executive Officer Tom Crawford said in a release.

Apparently there aren't enough major team sports, auto racing and golf broadcasts for you and your DVR. The agreement between ESPN and USA Ultimate puts broadcast audiences one step closer to ESPN420, whose programming could be nothing more than Frisbee, "Surfing With Brody," a cooking show featuring the same brownie recipe every day and four hours of double complete rainbows.
