DARTMOUTH — An elderly couple been hospitalized with serious injuries following a crash involving two vehicles on Friday morning.

Dartmouth Police say that on Friday at approximately 10:29 a.m., police and emergency personnel responded to the area of Old Westport Road and Cross Road to investigate a two vehicle crash involving a 2015 Chevrolet pickup and a 2008 Ford F250 pickup.

As a result of the crash, the operator of the 2015 Chevrolet, identified as 75-year-old Dartmouth man Richard Decosta and his passenger, 75-year-old Andrea Decosta, were transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.

The operator of the 2008 Ford, 31-year-old Brent Bonneau, also from Dartmouth, refused medical treatment at the scene.

The crash is currently under investigation by members of the Dartmouth Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit.

No further information regarding the extent of injuries is available at this time.
