DPH Chief: Medical Marijuana Licenses To Be Awarded In Late January
The first medical marijuana licenses will be awarded in Massachusetts around the end of January. That's the word from Cheryl Bartlett, the new state Commissioner of Public Health.
During a stop in New Bedford on Friday, Barlett said the process is moving ahead. She says her department worked hard on the regulations to make sure there were no loopholes.
Bartlett says the department is proud of the thoroughness of the medical marijuana regulations.
She was in New Bedford to meet with public health professionals in the region.
