The man who tipped off police that the Boston Marathon bombing suspect was hiding in his boat now has a new one thanks to online donors.

David Henneberry told ABC News he recently bought a 24-foot "fixer-upper" to replace the bullet-riddled boat where police finally cornered Dzhokar Tsarnaev.

Strangers from across the country sent in 50-thousand dollars in donations to help Henneberry buy a similar used boat.

The Boston resident feels grateful, saying after such a bad thing happened it restores your faith in people. (Metro Networks Inc.)
