Two dolphins were rescued off the coast of Nantucket on Wednesday.

Nantucket Police say a baby dolphin and its mother came partially ashore in the harbor area near Washington St.

Animal Control Officer Suzy Gale and Massachusetts Environmental Police Sgt. Keith Robinson assisted the two dolphins and were able to help them get back into deeper water.

The dolphins remained in the harbor area and police ask that if you see the dolphins come ashore again to call them at 508-228-1212.
