Dog Goes On Trial
A dog that allegedly severely bit a 6-year-old boy in Mansfield is going on trial.
Mansfield's selectmen have voted to hold a public hearing this month to review an investigation by the animal control officer in response to a dangerous dog complaint. The board chairman called it a ``mini trial.''
The complaint was filed by Dawn Herbert-Miller, who says her 6-year-old son was bitten on Jan. 3.
The boy reportedly suffered injuries to his face and other body parts, requiring surgery and 400 stitches. (Associated Press
