Former Whitman State Representative and Republican Geoff Diehl has been mulling the idea of a gubernatorial bid for months. He and I talked about the possibility last winter. I was excited to learn on Independence Day that Diehl has decided to go for it. It was an appropriate and symbolic day for Diehl to make such an important announcement.

Incumbent Governor Charlie Baker, a RINO (Republican In Name Only), has yet to say whether he will seek a third term. There are signs that he is giving it an awful lot of thought. Baker has been a disappointment for many Republicans and independents in the Commonwealth. Baker is pro-abortion, controlled by the radical LGBTQ+ lobby, is anti-business, is for new and higher taxes, and opposes a border wall to control illegal immigration.

In other words, he is just another Massachusetts liberal in Republican clothing. Why do you think the Democrats elected him twice?

Baker's refusal to support or even meet with or vote for Republican President Donald Trump speaks volumes about his pettiness and lack of understanding of his own party. What a horrible missed opportunity for Massachusetts. Baker's half-hearted endorsement of Diehl's bid to oust U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D) in 2018 likely contributed to Warren's victory.

Geoff Diehl is the real deal for the SouthCoast. Diehl has real ties to Southeastern Massachusetts. He knows and is supported by many in the New Bedford fishing industry. As a candidate for U.S. Senate, he earned the endorsement of many within the law enforcement community and even some staunch life-long Democrats, including the recently deceased and highly respected former State Rep Bob Correia, a former Mayor of Fall River.

Baker stood with the police while Democrats like Liz Warren were calling them a "hate group."

Diehl brings real conservative values to the race and will force discussions on important issues such as rebuilding the Massachusetts economy following Baker's destructive pandemic policies that included school, church, and business closings. Diehl would also fight hard to keep Massachusetts from becoming a sanctuary state.

Diehl has earned your consideration in his quest to oust RINO Charlie Baker. Think about supporting Geoff Diehl for Governor of Massachusetts in 2022.
