DARTMOUTH (WBSM) — A Fall River man was arrested and charged following an investigation by Dartmouth Police into drug trafficking.

Dartmouth Police detectives from the Community Impact Unit worked in collaboration with detectives from the Fall River Police Community Action Suppression Team to investigate over the course of several weeks.

Dedric Rhodes, 31, of Fall River was the target of the investigation. Detectives obtained a search warrant for his apartment, located at 423 Kilburn Street, Apartment 2, in Fall River

In Rhodes’ apartment, investigators discovered about 16 grams of suspected fentanyl, 10 grams of suspected powder cocaine, 19 grams of suspected crack cocaine, $690 in cash and scales and packaging materials.

Rhodes was placed under arrest and is charged with trafficking in fentanyl over 10 grams, and trafficking in cocaine of 18 grams or more.

He was scheduled to be arraigned in Fall River District Court.

“This case highlights the importance of interagency cooperation in addressing the flow of dangerous narcotics into our communities,” said Dartmouth Police Chief Brian P. Levesque. “The work of our detectives, alongside our partners in the Fall River Police Department, has led to the removal of dangerous fentanyl and cocaine from our streets, and the arrest of an individual profiting from the distribution of these deadly substances.”
