Dartmouth Ladies Flag Football League Brings Friendly and Fun Competition
Grab your girls and get ready for a fast-pasted, high-energy game. Flag football isn't just for the kids, it's for adults too and for ladies on the SouthCoast, there's a league all your own.
"The ladies love it. For many of them it’s something new that they haven’t done before so it’s been great to hear that they’re enjoying it," said Courtney Holske, President of Killer B's Athletics. "We have moms in the league who come out and play and get some 'me' time on Saturday nights."
Killer B's Athletics in Dartmouth offers a variety of leagues like baseball, soccer, cornhole and flag football.
You can also find the Ladies Flag Football League, now in its third season.
"We believed this would be a fun way for women to get out and have friendly competition with their girlfriends, make new friends and be active," Holske said.
Open to ladies ages 16 and older, the league features three teams (for now) competing in games on Saturday evenings.

"We would love for the league to grow and get the world out to more women on the SouthCoast. It is a good mix of competitive and fun," Holske said.
Despite a slow growth in numbers, those who have signed up over the years have stayed.
If you're feeling nervous or curious about what to expect, that's ok. It's a sport not many ladies have played before or one they haven't participated in in a while.
"It is fast paced and competitive but it’s also fun and friendly," Holske said. "I love to see woman of all ages get out there, try something new, and excel at it!"
