Dartmouth Man Allegedly Slashed Household Member With Razor Knife
DARTMOUTH — Dartmouth Police have arrested a man after they say he was involved in a domestic dispute in which he allegedly slashed a household member with a razor knife.
Police responded to a home regarding a domestic dispute at approximately 8 p.m. on April 2. When they arrived, they learned one of the people involved had been slashed several times with a razor knife. Police say the worst of the wounds was a laceration that was approximately 11 inches long and a quarter-inch deep.
None of the wounds were life-threatening, police said, and the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
After interviewing the victim and other witnesses, officers arrested a 38-year-old Dartmouth man. He is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Police say they are not releasing the name of the suspect nor the address of the incident in order to protect the identity of the victim.
