Dartmouth’s Padanaram Bridge Closed for Repairs Until Further Notice
DARTMOUTH (WBSM) — The Padanaram Bridge is South Dartmouth is once again closed for repairs.
Dartmouth Public Works sent out a notice this afternoon just after 3 p.m. that the bridge was now closed until further notice "due to necessary repairs." The nature of the repairs were not provided.
The bridge closed for repairs back on July 3 for a mechanical issue related to high temperatures and did not reopen until July 5. It closed again on August 7 for scheduled repairs to replace the bridge jacks, but high temperatures on that day kept it shut down for longer than the originally-scheduled three-hour window.
The DPW said Monday it would send out a notice when the bridge is back open. We will update this story when that information becomes available.
