Dartmouth Police Arrest Fall River Woman in Alleged Stolen Vehicle
DARTMOUTH (WBSM) — Dartmouth Police arrested a Fall River woman early Friday for allegedly driving a stolen vehicle after she allegedly attempted to elude police.
According to police, Janessa Quino, 21, of Fall River was driving a 2007 Toyota Corolla on Old Westport Road at about 2:38 a.m. on February 9. Police attempted to pull her over after learning the vehicle had been reported stolen.
Instead, police said Quino accelerated in order to avoid being pulled over, but a tire deflation device was deployed to attempt to slow and then stop her vehicle.
According to police, she attempted to keep eluding them with the deflated tires, but the vehicle eventually came to a safe stop on Hathaway Road near Tradewind Street.
Quino was arrested and charged with receiving a stolen vehicle, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to stop for police.
