Dartmouth Cultural Center Offers Year-End Art Exhibits
The Dartmouth Cultural Center on Elm Street is winding down its busiest year yet with art exhibits in November and December. President Pauline Santos update the list of activities at the center during a visit to Townsquare Sunday.
An exhibit by artist Marty Keating is currently up at the center.
"Ms. Keating does landscapes, and the exhibit includes several landscapes of the area," Santos said. "She also has landscape paintings of the Berkshires. We've really had a great turnout for this exhibit and it will be up for public viewing until November 23."
A second exhibit will open on December 6. The Southcoast Artist Holiday Exhibition will run through January 5. Members of the Southcoast Artist Organization are contributing their work for the exhibit.
"The group has about 100 members but not all of them participate," Santos said. "It's quite a big display, paintings, jewelry and other types of creations and most of them will be available for purchase, just in time for Christmas."
The center is still in need of volunteers, especially someone with computer skills. If you are interested, please visit the Dartmouth Cultural Center website for more information.
The Cultural Center will close from November 24 to December 6 for the Thanksgiving holiday. The center's normal operating hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. However, in December, the center will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
The Dartmouth Cultural Center will then close from January 7 until the end of February.
