Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson was violently assaulted on May Day by criminal aliens detained by ICE and held in his jail.

Until President Donald J. Trump was elected to office, Sheriff Hodgson was the highest-profile figure in the battle to protect Americans and legal immigrants from criminal illegal aliens. Since the 1990s, the overwhelmingly Democrat-voting Bristol County has elected and repeatedly re-elected the Republican Hodgson as their sheriff. Bristol County voted for Ted Kennedy, Joe Kennedy III, Hillary Clinton, and then voted for Sheriff Hodgson.

People vote for Sheriff Hodgson because they know he is determined to keep them safe and he won't bend to the radical political forces that support criminal illegal aliens running wild in the streets of their hometown. The folks who live in New Bedford, Fall River, Taunton, Attleboro, and other towns of Bristol County know all about illegal aliens and their crimes.

It appears that the sheriff wanted to test the foreigners in his custody for the COVID-19 virus. This is a reasonable request and one that has been demanded by advocates and inmates all over the country. Some of the foreign inmates, destined for deportation because of their behavior while a guest in America, protested and refused to comply with the testing procedure. I don't think it is a coincidence that they conducted a violent uprising on May Day, as it has been a traditional day of violence by some on the left.

May Day is also a day of celebration for organized labor. The men and women who work as corrections officers at the Bristol County Sheriff's Office are members of organized labor. When the illegal aliens attacked the corrections officers on May Day they were assaulting members of a labor union. Let that sink in.

The violent attack on Sheriff Hodgson and his staff by illegal aliens is an attack on all Americans. Some of those who have been supporting this resistance movement from outside the jail are also responsible for the violent attack on members of organized labor and the democratically elected Sheriff Hodgson.
