Commuter Rail Train Collides with Truck in West Bridgewater
A truck collided with an MBTA commuter rail train Saturday morning in West Bridgewater.
Three men inside the truck were taken to a Brockton hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash was reported around 7:40 a.m. and involved a train on the Middleboro-Lakeville line.
The MBTA called in buses to remove passengers from the scene. Rescue workers and investigators remain at the site.
MBTA police are telling New England Cable News a preliminary investigation showed the collision happened when the truck went around a gate that was already down in the East Street area of West Bridgewater.
