City’s Christmas Tree Dazzles Holiday Crowd

Mayor Jon Mitchell, City Councilors and Santa Claus lined up Thursday night to light the City's Christmas Tree outside the Downtown library.

The event also included a light show outside the library, and a holiday flash mob also made an appearance.

Ward Five Councilor Kerry Winterson took the opportunity to voice support for the small businesses in Downtown New Bedford.....

The tree-lighting was postponed last Saturday because of rain and rescheduled for Thursday night.
