The City's Human Relations Commission has some questions for Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech's superintendent.

Voc-Tech teacher Lino Cabral resigned last week after posting controversial racial remarks to social media in April.

Human Relations Commission member Kevin Thomas tells WBSM News it appears Superintendent Linda Enos did not handle the situation properly when it was brought to her attention. "It looks like maybe the Superintendent had handled the situation internally and not informed school board members, the Voc-Tech school board. And that is troubling," said Thomas.

Thomas says the Commission is inviting Enos to their next meeting to answer questions about the issue.

The Commission drafted a letter to the editor of the Standard Times, condemning Cabral's actions, and saying his resignation was necessary.
