We've all heard the story of Lizzie Borden and her ax, now Lifetime is expanding on a TV movie about the notorious Sunday school teacher.

Christina Ricci will once again play Lizzie Borden in a new miniseries that will follow the former Fall River resident after her murder trial has ended.

Lifetime originally made Lizzie Borden Took An Ax last year, a TV movie that chronicled the Borden murders and Lizzie's trial. Now they feel they have a hit on their hands by expanding on the Borden story and creating a fictitious account of what happened in Lizzie's world after her trial was over.

The new series will take place four months after the Borden trial has ended. People are turning up murdered again and Lizzie is the prime suspect.

Ricci is returning to play Lizzie once again and Clea Duvall is back as her sister Emma. Cole Hauser will play Detective Charlie Siringo and Jonathan  Banks will portray business partner Mr. Flowers.

Look for the new Lizzie Borden Chronicles to start airing on Lifetime Sunday April 5th at 10pm.
