Despite Traumas, Harley Is an Upbeat Kid Looking for a Loving Family [TUESDAY’S CHILD]

Harley is a bright, analytical and energetic child who does very well in school. He thrives on "one-on-one" attention and can often be found relaxing on his own with a good book or outside gardening.  Harley has many stuffed animals that he uses for emotional support.

At School

He receives services in school, having just started eighth grade. One of his favorite things to do is play in the school band.  According to his counselors, he is quite musically inclined.

Experienced Trauma, But Continues On

Harley has expressed a desire to become a police officer when he is older because he would like to help people. Despite the losses in his life, he has been able to develop and maintain close relationships with people and has an upbeat outlook.

Freed for adoption, Harley very much wants to be adopted and would fit in well with almost any family dynamic that would commit to keeping him in touch with his three siblings. Two siblings live in Western Massachusetts, and the other closer to the SouthCoast. 

Harley would do best in a family that can help support him as he searches for his gender identity. Ideally, the family would have experience or training on how trauma impacts a child.

Harley should be the only child or youngest child in his new home. He loves animals and would do well in a home with pets.

There is an open adoption agreement currently with the birth mother for visits every other month.  After adoption, there is an agreement for twice-a-year visits with the birth mom.
