A near triple double from Rajon Rondo helped the Boston Celtics to a big win over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night.

It has not been an easy road for the Boston Celtics so far this NBA season. The C's are at 12-9 and tied with Brooklyn for second place in the division. Currently the Knicks are in first place at 16-5.

The Celtics had a scare at home last night against the Dallas Mavericks. Dallas was lead by OJ Mayo, who had 24 points. Shawn Marrion had 16 points,11 rebounds and 7 assists.

Boston prevailed in double OT. Rondo had 16 points, 15 assists and 9 rebounds. He had some help from Paul Pierce who had 34 points on the night.

Now the Celtics hit the road for a couple of game sin Texas against the Rockets, and the Spurs.
