Just days after the 2018 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics appear close to signing a an American guard from overseas.

According to ESPN NBA Insider Adrian Wojarowski, the C's are finalizing a deal with EuroLeague guard Brad Wanamaker that would bring the 28-year-old back state side for the upcoming season.

Wanamaker went undrafted in 2011, after a four-year career at the University of Pittsburgh, in which he averaged 8.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.

Since leaving college, Wanamaker has spent most of his time bouncing around the European professional ranks, averaging 12.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists over 179 games. He also has spent some time in the NBA's developmental league.

The former Pitt Panther will look to add depth to a Boston backcourt that has some uncertainty in it, leading up to summer workouts.
