Cape Verdean Prime Minister Visits New Bedford On Saturday

The City of New Bedford is welcoming the Prime Minister of Cape Verde and members of his Cabinet to the city. 

Prime Minister Jose Maria Neves is meeting with city officials and members of the Cape Verdean community at 10am Saturday at the Corson Maritime Learning Center in the National Park. 

Lee Blake of the New Bedford Historical Society says its one of several stops the Prime Minister will be making in New England....

The Cape Verdean delegation has spent the last few days in Washington, and met with President Obama. 

The Historical Society, along with the National Park and other organziations are sponsoring the Prime Minister's visit.
