BROCKTON — A convicted drug dealer was once again arrested on drugs trafficking charges after he was caught with over 400 grams of fentanyl in Brockton on Monday, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office.

Derek Depina, 28, of Brockton was taken into custody after a monthslong drug trafficking investigation led to a search and seizure of two firearms, drugs, and cash, the D.A.'s office said.

According to the office, state and Brockton police searched an apartment at 95 Clinton St. and an 85 Breer Circle home at around 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 3.

They said they discovered the loaded firearms along with around 433 grams of fentanyl, 98 grams of cocaine, 34 suboxone strips, and over $22,000 in cash.

Depina is being charged with multiple counts of illegally possessing a firearm and ammunition, possessing a firearm with a defaced serial number, trafficking over 400 grams of a class A drug and over 100 grams of a class B drug, and a firearm violation with a prior violent crime conviction.

He is set to be arraigned today at Brockton District Court.
