Rachel Paula Abrahamson covered the New Bedford native's weight loss journey, which started back in 2012 with a doctor's appointment. “I remember stepping on the scale and seeing that I weighed 266 pounds,” she tells Us. “In one year I had gained 30 pounds.”

Connor joined a gym shortly after that wake-up call, starting off with a treadmill walk and slowly adding weight training. In addition to exercise, she drastically changed her diet. Instead of soda and loading up on carbs, she "now sticks to a low-carb meal plan packed with fruits, veggies and lean meats, and she preps a week’s worth of lunches to avoid making poor decisions."

The 25-year-old now wears a size 8 and is happy to own shorts. "My confidence now is out of this world. I feel great in clothes. I own shorts and tank tops now! I enjoy going to the beach and being outside in the summertime. I am happy, healthy, and so much more alive. Weight loss and becoming healthy has definitely changed my life for the better. The reason I created my Instagram account 3 years ago was to help inspire others. That if I can do it, so can they. I can not explain how amazing the feeling of being healthy really is. I went 22 years living obese. Taking the initiative to lose weight was the best decision of my life. I didn’t know where to begin but I knew I could do it and that is what lead me to lose over 100 pounds. Believing in yourself is the first step in weight loss and what will push you to continue on and never give up." Congrats on your amazing accomplishments, Bri!
