Breaking And Entering Suspect Arrested In Riverside Park

A New Bedford man is facing charges of breaking into a pair of apartments in the North End.

Det. Captain Steve Vicente says 34 year old Carlos Forty-Algarin is charged with breaking into two apartments Wednesday morning on Davis Street and stealing some video games.

Vicente says the suspect was arrested a short time later in Riverside Park. Police say he was tased during the apprehension.

Police recovered a curved knife in his possession.

Forty-Algarin was taken to St. Luke's Hospital for observation, and then transported to District Court for arraignment.
