We first told you about this program about a month ago.

Both Massport, the company that operates Boston Logan, and the Mass Cultural Council are living up to their promise to bring live and local music to the airport.

Who Is Brandon Furtado?

Brandon Furtado, who attended UMass Dartmouth, tends to perform popular music, making him perfect to help kick off Logan's live music program. He submitted a few months back and they reached back out to book him in early June.

"I’ve been playing music for most of my life," he said. "I started when I was in elementary school on orchestral instruments and later moved onto guitar and writing my own songs."

Furtado is excited about this very rare and unique opportunity to perform at the airport.

"This gig was such a cool opportunity and I feel honored to have been asked to take part in the test run of what will hopefully be a permanent staple," he said.

When and Where to Catch the Shows

If you didn't have a flight out when he previously performed, don't worry, you have time to plan as Furtado is scheduled to perform three more times this month: July 9, July 15 and July 28. You don't have to purchase a ticket to watch him; all the performances take place at baggage claim.

Furtado has some original music that he will perform at the airport.

He has played a lot of gigs but this one is unique. When we asked which gig is his favorite, we thought he would say the airport, but he surprised us.

"My favorite gig to play is always the next one, but specifically the ones where people want to sing along!" he said.

We hope to sing along with you very soon, Brandon. Congrats!
