The "Boston Globe" is going up for sale. The New York Times Company is putting its New England news division that includes the "Globe" on the market, though a deal isn't imminent. The publishing giant has been working for months to offload assets not associated with the Times brand due to a struggling advertising market.

Experts say that the newspaper giant could get around $150 million. The New York Times originally bought the paper back in 1993 for $1.1 billion. The New York Times spokesman says that they are trying to offload the Globe while they try to become a global information source, and the Boston 'Globe is a distraction'.
