Believe in the Power of Our Children [PHIL-OSOPHY]
1420 WBSM and Fun107 have faith in our children and the power of inclusive education, where individuals of all abilities learn, play, work and live together. So once again, both stations are supporting Meeting Street/The Schwartz Center For Children to be a national leader in child development, education, research, and training.
Starting on Friday, January 25 at Sunrise Bakery, located at 571 Dartmouth Street in Dartmouth, Fun107 will be hosting their Third Annual Radiothon by broadcasting live from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Michael Rock, Christine Fox and Gazelle will have special guests, like Nick, Ron and Pete from presenting sponsor Cardi's Furniture and Mattresses, plus many other special guests. Stop by and say hello.
Then on Saturday night, January 26, I'll be joining our station's crew from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. for the 43rd Meeting Street Telethon live on WPRI 12 that airs in its entirety from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. The four-hour show will include an inside look at what goes on at Meeting Street, featuring the children with live interviews and more.
Call in with a donation that will support The Schwartz Center for Children, a not-for-profit charitable organization that offers a variety of programs to enrich the lives of children with special needs, developmental delays, or are at risk. Your donation will go a long way serving the more than 4,000 families from the SouthCoast.
