Beauregard Wants to Keep Rev. Fisher on Housing Authority Board

New Bedford Housing Authority Executive Director Steve Beauregard says it was he that made phone calls to city councilors, lobbying to keep Rev. Leona Fisher on the Housing Authority Board. The Council voted 9-2 last Thursday to reject the Mayor's appointee, Attorney Robert Schilling. The vote means that Reverend Fisher will retain her seat on the Housing Authority, at least for now. Steve Beauregard says he has nothing against Mr. Schilling...He simply beleives Rev. Fisher is a good advocate for the housing authority.
