Fall River Police Say Attempted Abduction May Not Have Happened
**UPDATE: According to the Herald News, Fall River Police say woman who reported attempted abduction has mental health issues, and 'may have been mistaken'. Police are no longer investigating and the case is closed.**
Fall River Police are looking for two suspects involved in an attempted abduction Wednesday night.
Lt. Ronald Furtado says the victim, described as a 60-year-old woman, was walking along Division St. around 5:30 p.m. when she noticed a van near the corner of Grant St.
The driver of the van asked her for directions and when she approached the passenger's side a second man grabbed her and attempted to pull her into the van.
The woman was able to break free and ran for help
The driver is described as a thin white man in his 40's with light brown hair, the second man is described as a white man between 5'10 and 6' with a thin build in his 30's to mid 40's with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing blue shorts and a white t-shirt.
The vehicle is believed to be an early to mid 1990's Chevrolet C20/MarkIII conversion van color white with either a blue or green stripe located on both sides of the vehicle.
