Before the first bell rings, long after the last student heads home, Acushnet’s schools are still buzzing — thanks to the incredible custodial team that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Today, I'd like to put a well-deserving spotlight on a few people who have been recognized by the school system:

Mary Boulay, Joshua Smith and Joshua DeJesus.

Mary Keeps Acushnet Elementary Sparkling

At Acushnet Elementary School, staff and students want to give a huge "THANK YOU" to their amazing custodian, Mary. She’s always there to lend a hand by sweeping up in the cafeteria, preparing classrooms, and keeping every corner of the building spotless.

Her dedication, warmth, and pride in her work help make AES a clean, safe, and welcoming space for every Wildcat who walks through the doors. Her hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. The school community couldn’t be more grateful for everything she does.

Ford Middle’s Dynamic Duo

Over at Ford Middle School, custodians Mr. Smith and Mr. DeJesus are equally deserving of the spotlight. Every morning, they’re hard at work making sure the hallways shine, the classrooms are ready, and the gym floor gleams.

When a surprise rainstorm hit last week, they went above and beyond — rolling out extra mats and wet floor signs to keep everyone safe and smiling. Their teamwork, quick thinking, and positive energy make a huge difference every single day.
