Major League Baseball will be closely monitoring Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez as he returns from suspension this season.

Attending Thursday's Yankees-Rays game in Port Charlotte Thursday, new commissioner Rob Manfred said "Let me be clear about this.  A-Rod" will be tested exactly like every other player who has violated the program.  He says the program calls for more frequent testing for players who are coming back from suspension.

The 39-year-old missed all of last season while serving a season-long suspension for his ties to the Biogenesis clinic that distributed performance-enhancing drugs.  (Metro Networks Inc.)
