58-Thousand To Lose Unemployment

About 58-thousand Bay State residents will lose their unemployment benefits as a result of the budget deal in Washington. Massachusetts allows 30 weeks of unemployment before federal benefits kick in for another 47 weeks. An extension of the federal benefits was not included in the budget package. The checks will stop coming at the end of the month.
