Ruthie is a 14-year-old girl who has some dreams. She would love the opportunity to become a dentist. She would love to be able to own her own horses. Her biggest dream, however, is to be adopted by a family that wants to spend time with her at the end of the day.

Ruthie's Clinical Care Manager Shannon says that there are so many things Ruthie wants to do in her life both now and when she grows up. She's been horseback riding for quite some time now. Shannon says Ruthie really benefits from the connections that she's made with the large animals, and finds the horses to be calming to her.

Some other interests that Ruthie enjoys are spending time with arts and crafts and playing good old-fashioned board games like checkers and chess.

Shannon describes Ruthie's strengths as being extremely resilient, caring and very loving. A family that can be committed and loyal to Ruthie would be a great fit, according to Shannon.

"Ruthie is a child with a lot of passions, and the right family would let her explore them," she said.

Another strength of Ruthie's is the ability to hold conversations with adults. She is happy-go-lucky, very polite, and is a good conversationalist.

Ruthie is hoping to be connected with a "nice, loving, and caring, family that likes to have fun."

"I want them to have time for me when I'm home," she said. "I would love them to help me with my homework. I want them to take care of me, and just spend time with me."
