COVID-19 restrictions have increased since Christmas, in an effort to limit the impact of family and friends gathering over the holidays.

With capacities being lowered across so many industries, business owners are getting creative to stay open while still promoting social distancing. Westport Rivers Vineyard & Winery has achieved something special on the SouthCoast.

According to a recent Facebook post, they’re all just trying to make delicious wine out of grapes over there.

“With the new year, we have new fun! You can now spend Saturdays with us cozy and warm inside your very own bubble! For $149.99 ($112.50 for wine club members), you can book the bubble for one hour and 45 minutes.”

This adults-only rental includes:

  • Adirondack chairs
  • SIX drinks of your choice (wine, beer, or spiked cider), and
  • SIX cups of Blount chili or clam chowder

For just $25/person, you and five friends can enjoy a couple of hours outside with drinks in hand while staying comfy in your private bubble. My brother and his girlfriend love wine and I would love to check this out with them.

Westport Rivers Vineyard & Winery reminds those interested in this option that this is a flat rate whether you have a party of six or less and that there cannot be more than six people per party due to restrictions.

Bubbles can only be reserved ahead of time online. “Wine club members should email vip@westportrivers.com for their discount code. Reservations open up Wednesdays at noon and will run through March!”
