Woman Resuscitated Several Times After Fall River Fire
FALL RIVER - An early morning fire sends a Fall River woman to the hospital.
UPDATE (12:56 p.m.): The Herald News is reporting the woman has passed away.
The fire was reported around 4:30 A.M. Friday in the third floor apartment of a multi-family home on Globe Street.
Fall River Fire Chief John Lynch tells WBSM News the smokey fire was contained to the bedroom and was quickly extinguished, however, the female occupant of the third floor was found unresponsive. She was rushed to St. Anne's Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and was resuscitated several times. Her condition is unknown at this time.
The State Fire Marshall's Office is on scene investigating the cause of the fire.
