
Woman Facing Wrong Way on New Bedford Street Charged with OUI
NEW BEDFORD — A Dorchester woman is arrested on drunk driving and drug charges after she is found with her car pointing the wrong way on a New Bedford Street.
Sunday morning at approximately 2:46 a.m., New Bedford Police found a woman in her vehicle pointed south on a northbound-only portion of Pleasant Street.
Further investigation determined she was under the influence of alcohol, and was in possession of a small amount of cocaine.
Police arrested the driver, 22-year-old Alyssa Jackson of Dorchester, and charged her with operating under the influence of liquor, possession of an open container of alcohol, possession of cocaine, and on an outstanding warrant.
